Hello everyone. This is the first group research project and is actually a core component of The Ugly Truth Project itself. But as I have said before, this entire project is also one big social experiment that I am documenting for a future paper or, possibly a book, who knows. That experiment begins now. This first post will be a bit long so I can explain the methodology but I will try to keep it as short as possible. There are more than one layer to this so I hope I explain this well enough. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask them. I have the philosophy that there are no stupid questions in this world, only stupid answers. Not asking a question perpetuates ignorance. So. Basically this entire project is all about crowd sourcing . Crowdsourcing is a term used to describe the process of getting work or funding from a large group of people in an online setting. The basic concept behind this term is to use a large group of people for their skills, ideas and participation to generate content or help facilitate the creation of content or products. In a sense, crowdsourcing is the distribution of problem solving. That is the purpose behind the social media accounts like Facebook and Twitter. We gather people who like what we have to say and then offer the opportunity to go a step further and be more involved if they choose to. Research is one of the most important parts of the project because no matter what other pies we have our fingers in this project is about exposing disinformation and lies within the media and our government. Every other part of the project is secondary and it will take care of itself. The social experiment part I mean because it is also crowd sourcing except it provides raw data, not results. If any one is more interested in this part just ask, I love talking psychology. Back to the research though. It really is quite simple. I will start by posting a subject that I think needs to be researched, something that caught my eye and I think is important. Whoever wants to can pick it up and run. That's the idea. The more people poking around in the shadows means the less places there are to hide. Then we can all post our results and sources here so that they are available to everyone. Working together dots get connected, patterns appear, and we can form logical pathways to the truth that can not be simply argued away. This first research project will be a baseline on the data end. How many if any will become involved based on the number of available people. No people of course means failure. Mechanically it gives us a chance to identify and correct any problems within the forum itself. And mostly it will identify what future guidelines we may need to adapt in order to stream line the exchange of information etc. The only way this happens is if people get involved. That's the first step. We will be a community of everyday people sharing information with the common goal of exposing and preserving the truth. The true resistance because if we lose the truth we lose everything. Or we will be filed away as raw data, a failed experiment that I will probably write about with regret many years from now. I personally hope that that is not the case. OK. I have a subject but In the future anyone can drop a subject for research by the community. There will of course need to be some guidelines established and rules etc. which is why I am asking for anyone who may be interested in moderating this forum to let me know. Just send me a message. For now anyway we will be focusing on one subject at a time until we established what we need to logistically. This is the ground floor baby, the only way to go is up. That subject right now is the 1954 Communist Control Act . https://www.law.cornell.edu/topn/communist_control_act_of_1954 The first link will take you to a pdf of the act itself. The second will take you to the Cornell Law School's Legal Information Institute where we can gain a little more insight into the act itself. Once reading through these and doing some of our own work we can pick this up in my next post. Where we can get down to business.
